County Express operates two types of service. Three local routes (Red, Green, and Blue) serve Hollister, while intercounty lines go via San Juan Bautista (selected trips) to Gavilan College and the Gilroy Caltrain/Greyhound station.

Blue Bird 22 at the yard/office of County Express in November 1997. The bus operated on natural gas, but there was no fueling station available to run the bus. It appeared on the agency's website for a while.
