1913 Jewett built car no. 73 once operated for the San Jose Railroads. In 1989 it was returned to service for the
Historic Trolley operation on the San Jose Transit Mall (Civic Center to Convention Center stations). That service
was discontinued in the late 1990s to save money. The car sat idle at VTA Guadalupe Division a while. When usual
Holly Trolley 2001 developed mechanical problems, the 73 was returned to service for the 2018 holiday season,
running weekends Nov. 25 to Dec. 30.
